Chair, Dr delegates, I have the honor to present a brief summary of the outcome of the committee's deliberation at its 24th session.
The committee held eight meetings and considered all items on the committee agenda.
The fifth meeting of the committee was held jointly with the committee on Science and Technology.
At its first meeting, the committee decided to establish a conduct group on matters related to the committee.
At its fifth meeting, the committee The committee at its fifth meeting, the committee and the committee on the Science and Technology decided to jointly establish a joint conduct group on matters that relate to both committees.
The committee adopted six draft decisions at its seventh and eighth meetings and recommended the draft decision to the conference for adoption.

Delegations will recall that pursuant to paragraph seven and eight of the terms of reference of the CRC, as contained in the annex to Decision 13 CP 13, four vice chairs shall constitute the Bureau of the CRC together with the chair elected by the Conference of the Parties in accordance with Rule 31 of the Rules of Procedure of the COP.
Once elected, the vice chairs shall assume their office immediately, and one of whom shall act as rapporteur.
In connection with this decision, I have received the following nominations.
From among the Asian states, Muhammad Sahul Mutakin of Indonesia.
From among the Latin American and Caribbean states, Joseph Noel of Granada, from among the Western European and other states, Flora Mac of Canada.
